Apple Crumble Recipe by Bella Gluten-Free

Makes a wonderful breakfast with a dab of yogurt on top.

Servings: Makes one 8x8 crumble  •   Prep: 10 mins  • Total: 35 mins
applecrumble   Ingredients:

2- 3 apples, peeled and chopped

1 tsp lemon zest

1 TBL lemon juice

1 TBL ground cinnamon

1 TBL maple syrup

1/4 cup coconut sugar or brown sugar

 

Crumble Topping:

1 cup gluten-free quick cook oats

1/4 cup Bella Gluten-Free All Purpose Baking Mix 

1/4 cup coconut sugar or  brown sugar

4 TBL butter or butter alternative, softened

1/4 cup chopped almonds or toasted sunflower seeds (if nuts are a no-no)

2 tsps cinnamon

 With Bella Gluten-Free All Purpose Baking Mix  apple crumble is back on the table.

Prep:
10 minutes

 

Directions:

Prepare a a 8x8" baking dish with cooking spray. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine apples, lemon juice, zest, cinnamon, syrup and sugar in a medium size bowl. Mix until combined. Add to prepared pan.

 

In same bowl, add oats,Bella Gluten-Free All Purpose Baking Mix ,  sugar nuts, cinnamon and combine, Add butter and work in until mixture is clumping. Add to top of apple filling. 

 

Bake for 25 minutes or until apples can be pierced easily with a fork. 

 

Chef’s Notes:

Add yogurt to the top for a great breakfast.
